Training
I have presented to hundreds of small and large groups in Oregon and occasionally in Washington state.

I provide comprehensive training on various topics that highlight the importance of curiosity and respect for our clients' experiences and on the inner and practical life of helpers. My aim is to educate therapists and community workers on integrating liberatory, client-informed, collaborative, creative, and humane perspectives into their practice. The trainings are suitable for local, county, and State programs, and the audience typically includes public health workers, lawyers, probation officers, nurses, social workers, human service managers, peer professionals, and animal care professionals. The trainings equip participants with the skills to offer trauma-informed and highly skilled client-centered services.

Training Topics (not limited to this list)
How to work collaboratively with people who are mandated to participate in services
How to co-advocate with clients to inform and address program policy change processes
Trauma Informed Care Series (9 hours)
Training for new therapists or social workers: confidence building through values, recognizing mistakes as necessary for learning, managing "Imposter Syndrome", collaborative care, and preparing for distress
How to run basic support groups or team meetings
Trauma-Informed Supervision for Supervisors
Specialized training for working with those who experience extreme mind states, sometimes known as severe and persistent mental illness

Psychoeducation and Coaching Groups for Clients:
Soon, I will be offering a series of supportive classes and groups for partners and individuals. Please stay tuned for more information about the 3-hour class: "Would Relationship Therapy Help Us: Basics of Communication, and Relationship Assessments" and the psychoeducation group called "The Living Legacy of Trauma: understanding the brain, body and behavior connections associated with healing and suffering" which will be based upon Janina Fisher's workbook.  More courses are to come. Again, please stay tuned and do email me with questions!

Courses and groups for pre-licensed therapists and counselors
If you recently graduated with your Master's degree in a mental health field, you might be wondering how your current work responsibilities in mental health align with the degree you've obtained. Through individual courses and a series of group sessions, I will show you how to build a lively, authentic, and enjoyable relationship with your clients. You will learn to work within the constraints of traditional intake methods, notes, and interventions while finding ways to bring joy and purpose to your daily work amid the grind. Stay tuned!
