You'll see that each section of the site describes some of the services I offer. Here is an introduction of sorts.
I have enjoyed a satisfying career working in many non-profit human services agencies, in academia, and as a private practice therapist. Since the beginning of my career, which started with a volunteer crisis counselor position at age 19 (!), I have valued the lessons taught by working with clients, colleagues, and communities, and through my own lived experiences. I weave these lessons into my therapy practice and the training, consultation and supervision I have offered for decades.
Most of the people who work with me as a trainer, supervisor or as a therapist describe me as authentic, caring, passionate. funny and smart. It is not easy to get described as smart when one is lecturing or training a room full of human service workers! It means the world to me when my clients recognize that I am actually deeply invested in their wellness and growth. I care very much that all of my clients and training participants feel welcome, understood, and free to fully be themselves.
